http://www.starchiropracticandnutrition.com/nutrition Prior to coming to Dr. Suzan, I did like Iron Man workouts like six times a week, to the point where my girlfriends were like, “I don’t know anybody who works out as hard as you, is as disciplined in how they eat. What is it that you’re trying to do?”
And I could not lose any weight. I didn’t gain, but I could never lose and I would do all this. And deny myself like good food and be so disciplined, but then I would look in the
mirror and be like, “Something’s off. Why can’t I get the results? Like what is going on? What is my body like?”
And I honestly thought that it was because I was on birth control pills. I was like, “You know what? This is just what I have to do. This is what my body’s going to look like until I get off birth control.” But that had nothing to do with that.
And, I’m still, you know, definitely, still see like pounds still coming off just naturally. I actually only work out now like two to three times a week. Not nearly as intense because it is not necessary and I’ve been able to see myself shed pounds, like shed inches. Like I went from being a size 10 jeans to like a 7/8 which is perfect. That’s all I wanted.
I’m not, you know, I’m not a model. I don’t do anything of that nature. Just being me. But be able to fit inside different, smaller sized jeans and being able to wear shorts and feel confident in shorts, I did like a pole dancing class with my girlfriends. And, just being able to be confident.
I’ve put on something that I don’t think I ever would have worn in front of somebody else and wasn’t worried about things moving that shouldn’t be moving, and I’m not doing it for that reason other than I just want to be happy with myself. I knew that there was a way to like live and eat and still get to do the fun things in life but still be healthy at the same
time. I just genuinely thank her for teaching me how to find that balance, and now that my life is not consumed with going to the gym or trying to figure out how to count the calories in something. In turn, I’m learning about being gluten free and how important that kind of stuff is and just how that plays a role in my body and it’s just kind of like a better life. It’s a lot easier.
